Mobile Banking is an "anytime-anywhere" system which allows you to take complete control of your accounts from your mobile phone. First-time users can also enroll through the app. It's easy, fast and available around the clock.

Types of Mobile Banking

Your Hometown Community Bank gives you choices when it comes to Mobile Banking... You can download an Android or iPhone app, use the Mobile Browser application, use Text Message Banking, Alert Banking...or all four or any combination.
With the Apps for Android or iPhone, you also can use the optional Bill Pay, Popmoney and Mobile Deposit functions.

How to get Text, Alert or Mobile Browser Banking

You can activate Mobile Banking by yourself as long as you already are enrolled in Online Banking. Simply log in to your Online Banking account, click on the Profile tab in the upper right hand corner, click "Enroll Now" next to the Mobile Banking section, and then select the services you want. You will be guided through the easy initial set up.

What devices work with Mobile Banking?

The custom Apps for Mobile Banking work with any contemporary Android or iPhone smart phone. No App is available for Windows phones at this time.
No specialized tablet Apps are available. Tablet users have the ability to use the full-featured Online Banking, just as they would from a Desktop computer, by going to
Mobile Banking services, except Text and Alerts Banking, require a smart phone with an internet connection.

How to Download the App

Find the app in Google Play or in iTunes under Hometown Community Banks. Look for the Clock Tower logo.

The apps for the Android or iPhone offers a one step log in...just open the app and enter your password. First-time users can also enroll for mobile banking through the app. You will be required to have a PIN which can be obtained by seeing any of our Customer Service Representatives at any of our branches or by calling our Internet Banking Department at 309-284-1365. Once a PIN is obtained you can enroll by clicking the “First time user? Enroll Now” link and follow the prompts.

With the apps you can get account balances, transaction details, do transfers and - if you have the Bill Pay option - pay bills.



App Permissions

The Apps require access to:

  • 1. Your address book to search for names when you send money.
  • 2. Your call logs to send and receive text messages for Text Banking.
  • 3. The camera for the Mobile Deposit function.
  • 4. Your location to locate branches and ATM's based on your current location.

Mobile Browser

Mobile Browser access allows access to your accounts on any phone with a web capability, using any popular browser. Simply open your browser, use a bookmark to navigate to the log in page, then click on the "Log In" button and enter your password. As with the Apps, Mobile Browser offers account balances, transaction details, transfers and the ability to pay bills if you have the optional Bill Pay. When using Mobile Browser, you have the option to send Secure Emails with confidential information that is strictly between you and the bank - this service is not offered with the App and Mobile Banking.

Mobile Deposit

Deposit paper checks without ever going to the bank. With Mobile Deposit, you use a special function in App Banking to take a photo of the front and back of the check, enter the amount, select the account to receive the deposit and then send it to the bank. Depositing a check takes only a minute or two.

The option to Deposit checks will be available right away on your Mobile App under the Deposit Tab.
