| In 1983, artist Ronald Bladen was commissioned to design a sculpture for the lawn of the Peoria Civic Center, which also is faced by the west side of Peoria City Hall. The resulting "Sonar Tide" is 26 feet high, 51 feet long, and four feet deep. Peoria City Hall, directly behind the sculpture, is more than 100 years old and remains in service as a public building. | |
