| A part of the former Eureka Canning factory located near downtown. The factory was a major part of the town for many years but closed in the 1960's when operations were moved to a more modern facility in Morton. Many of the brick structures which made up the factory remain in use by a variety of businesses. The plant canned various vegetables including pumpkins and peas. The seasonal canning brought a great deal of additional activity to the area and various processes became known by names such as "The Pea Pack." School groups would tour the facilities and each fall the community held a large "Pumpkin Festival." | |
